PROFILE

Dr. Güven was born in Turkey and grew up in Auburn, Alabama.   After graduating from the University of Virginia with Phi Beta Kappa honors, he attended UAB Medical School and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology specializations at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.  He joined Alabama Cardiovascular Group after his fellowships in 2005.  Dr. Güven specializes in preventative cardiology, interventional cardiology and cardiovascular imaging.  In his free time, he enjoys golf, reading and spending time with his family.
