W. Hansford Watford, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.C.
W. Hansford Watford, Jr. is a graduate of Davidson College, where he majored in Biology and Religion. He obtained his medical school education as well as his Internal Medicine training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Watford completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. In addition to general adult cardiology, he has particular interests in congestive heart failure, adult congenital heart disease, and heart disease in pregnant women. He is a published author of award-winning medical thrillers, and enjoys collecting and preserving ancient religious documents and Bibles. Dr. Watford is available to see patients at Grandview Medical Center.
